Hello Everyone,
I just want to say Happy Black History Month. I have found some wonderful sources on the internet for educators and students. I'm tired of teachers and students bringing out the same people every year. There are so many African Americans and African Canadians who SHOULD be in the social studies and history textbooks right now! People who were slaves in the United States have escaped with the help of the historic Underground Railroad and went to Canada and became lawyers, doctors, educators, inventors during the 1800s and early 1900s. I want students to realize their true potential and self worth. PLEASE DO NOT HAVE BEYONCE, JAY-Z, LIL'WAYNE AS PART OF BLACK HISTORY MONTH! NO RAPPERS, PLEASE!!!!!
