Kevin Bass: Bringing Us The New Alabama
Greetings Everyone,
I'm still thinking about the 2014 Alabama Gubernatorial election. I like Kevin Bass. He is my age (34 years old) and young people always have progressive, fresh and modern ideas. I think Kevin Bass can help bring Alabama up to date and out of the Dark Ages. Kevin Bass is a man who can make all and different kinds of people, whether they're Black, White, Hispanic, Latino, Asian, Native American, or Pacific Islander and any religion, whether it is Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Muslim, Buddhism, or Sikh, feel like they have a home in Alabama. He is a role model for the young and regular people like me in the state of Alabama and make them aware of what is happening around them. Having Kevin Bass running for Democratic Governor of Alabama makes me finally proud to be a resident of Alabama. I wasn't proud to be a resident of Alabama because the opportunities in some areas in this state are limited for the low and middle class, there is no hope and the ways of thinking of some (not all) people in Alabama is set in the 1950s, but now I'm happy at the fact that Kevin Bass is here and wants to change that. For decades the state of Alabama has been ran by Republican politicians who are corrupt and cater to other rich citizens. For years the Republicans in Alabama have made regular people like me feel like slaves to make ends meet and we have been very unhappy because the Republicans in Alabama just take and take and take and take and they NEVER give back. For years the Republicans in Alabama have made young and regular people like me break our backs and struggle. For years the Republicans in Alabama was making things easy and better for people with money and making things harder and harder for young and regular people like me.
Kevin Bass can create jobs by realizing the needs and demands of the people. He is the man that can move the state of Alabama forward to a better direction. Kevin Bass can help the young people in Alabama help that they have a place in the state of Alabama too. We need new and fresh blood, we need new and more opportunities, we need to turn this state around and make a brand new Alabama, and we need Kevin Bass help to do that.

Why Parker Griffith (Alabama 2014 Gubernatorial Candidate) Can't Be Trusted!
Greetings Everyone,
Well, it's almost about that time again, the Alabama elections. As you know, I'm a full fledge democrat. The two candidates of the Alabama Gubernatorial election are Kevin Bass and Parker Griffith. I'm not going to beat around the bush. I'm not crazy about Parker Griffith. As a matter of fact, I really don't trust Griffith simply because of his track record in politics. Parker has been a Republican, an Independent, and a Democrat and he has been back and forth around each party ticket. In my opinion, this is instability. As an Alabama citizen, I need a candidate who really understands me and other people my age, no someone who just constantly want to win something. Parker Griffith may be a democrat now, but I get the feeling he will switch parties again soon. How do I know that Griffith's views will change from Democrat to Republican if he wins the election? What are Griffith's true feelings and views from his heart? Griffith maybe saying one thing that is coming out of his mouth but his heart and mind are telling a different story. I can't trust the instability.

Affirmative Action Ban in Michigan
Hello Everyone,
This morning on my way to work I was in shock at the fact that the state of Michigan of the United States of America has put a ban on Affirmative Action. Sometimes I get in the habit of, oh, I don't know, thinking of "what if" scenarios. The Affirmative Action Ban is targeting the students at colleges and universities in Michigan, but I'm getting a bad feeling that it could give bosses and supervisors at work places ideas. This Affirmative Action Ban will probably be a cancerous sore that will badly spread throughout the country and damage and deteriorate the lives of American Dreams that we, the people (including immigrants who chose to move to the U.S.), worked so hard to maintain in the United States. Without Affirmative Action, this will open many doors not only for the return of discrimination, segregation and the famous Jim Crow, but also sexism and double standards. Just because there is a little change in the White House doesn't mean we can rest. Trust and believe, this is not the end of racism. This ban will have an affect not only on race, but among several other subjects. This Affirmative Action Ban will have an effect on everyone, including Caucasians. The people who voted for this Affirmative Action Ban in Michigan right now don't realize this vote will come back to haunt as well as bite them later on in the future. It sickens me at the fact that a lot of state representatives come up with ideas without thinking about the consequences. The people who voted for the Affirmative Action Ban in Michigan are forgetting the fact that discrimination does NOT have a one way definition. Today, discrimination comes in all forms, in many different ways. Today, the United States of America is a different country. Today there are so many minority owned businesses as well as minority owned organizations. Today there are so many minorities with money. Take some time to think really hard: What if a minority owned company or business that you applied for don't want to hire you because your skin color is white? What if a company or business that you applied for don't want to hire you because you are a female (it doesn't matter if you're and black, white, Hispanic or Asian woman, they just don't want a female)? What if a company, business, university or college you put in an application for don't want to hire or admit you because of your religion? What if a company, business, university or college you put in an application for don't want to hire or admit you because of the way you wear your hair? What if a company, business, university or college you put in an application for don't want to hire or admit you because you have certain or specific needs? What if a company, business, university or college that you put an application at don't want to hire or admit you because you are gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender? Without Affirmative Action, all of the rights and opportunities that minority leaders along with other people work so hard to get throughout the years would be in vain. Without Affirmative Action, the United States of America would be promoting ignorance. Affirmative Action is what help all of us look at people as human beings, bleeding the same blood, having the same body organs, and grow together as one as we go further into the future. With Affirmative Action the United States of America will forever promote cultural diversity. What is most important of all that a citizen of the world is smart, intelligent, have progressive ideas, fun-loving, and aware of what is going on with the world. We all have ideas that will help America progress, but if we continue to look at the outside and be judgmental of people, the future of the United States will be in trouble. The United States won't get anywhere. As the United States of America, we all need to move forward, not backwards. Women, Minorities, Immigrants, Special Needs People, and LGBT please do something and find a cure for this cancer before it spreads and it's too late to fix it! Stand Up For Your Rights!

Happy Women's History Month (Research for teacher and students)
Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to let you know about some research I did on the internet for teachers and students for Women's History Month. Women's History Month is March 1- March 31, 2014. I would like to let young girls know that they can do anything they put their minds to and don't let anyone tell them different. Women need to be respected for their minds and looked up to when contributing to shaping the future! Learning about women who made wonderful achievements in the past will teach young girls and young women who exists now will learn that they too can achieve their hopes and dreams of living better independent lives and don't have to let society tell them who or what they "should" be.

Black History Month (Website Resources for Students and Teachers)
Hello Everyone,
I just want to say Happy Black History Month. I have found some wonderful sources on the internet for educators and students. I'm tired of teachers and students bringing out the same people every year. There are so many African Americans and African Canadians who SHOULD be in the social studies and history textbooks right now! People who were slaves in the United States have escaped with the help of the historic Underground Railroad and went to Canada and became lawyers, doctors, educators, inventors during the 1800s and early 1900s. I want students to realize their true potential and self worth. PLEASE DO NOT HAVE BEYONCE, JAY-Z, LIL'WAYNE AS PART OF BLACK HISTORY MONTH! NO RAPPERS, PLEASE!!!!!

Phil Roberston of Duck Dynasty on Marriage
Greetings Ladies,
Well Duck Dynasty reality star Phil Robertson is getting attention again. This time he is discussing that young men should marry girls who are age 15 and 16 years old. Now just because this theory worked for him when he was younger doesn't mean this theory will work for everybody else. I'm not perfect either. My parents got married when they were young. But what Phil Roberson doesn't tell young teenagers are the difficult responsibilities that are overwhelming for teenagers such as finances and having children. Truthfully, it takes two people to make a living today and working on a minimum wage salary may not be enough to make ends meet. You have to pay utilities, house note or rent, car note, life insurance, house insurance, car insurance, and health insurance. You have to have money for food and money for gas to put in the car. The reason why Phil Robertson is telling young men to get married to a 15 or 16 girl (and make sure she knows how to cook) is because when a young lady is that age (15 or 16 years old), she doesn't quite have a mind of her own yet and doesn't have an understanding of who she is yet and she is still being raised by her parents. At age 15, a teenage girl is not sure what really wants to be yet. Ladies, a man figures he can control a younger woman and her way of thinking, so I'm begging you ladies, don't fall into that trap. Don't let a man tell you who you are! Don't wrap your life around in a man! Ladies, please do something with your precious lives because you only live once! Choose a career (choose a job that you love to do) so you can help change the world for the better! Ladies, you all have plenty of time to marry. The age of 15 and 16 should be the time to have fun and be happy. Ladies, take this time to go and find yourself! Take some time to figure out who you are and who you want to be as a female. Ladies, have a mind of your own and learn how to express it! Learn how to think! Get an education! Ladies, learn to love yourself! Phil Robertson needs to step into 2014 and get out of the Medieval Era! Girls who are 15 and 16 shouldn't be burdened with multiple responsibilities of making sure that someone else is happy and taking care of kids. Phil Robertson doesn't understand that times have changed and over time women have changed. We as females have learned to think outside the box. Look ladies, just because Phil Robertson married his wife young doesn't mean marrying young is the right thing to do.
