America's Test of Truth

During the years 2008, 2009, and 2010, America has really been throught a "test". Our current President Barack Obama and Hiliary Clinton both made a huge breakthrough with their campaign success. During this test, every ethnic race, the African Americans, the Muslim Americans, the Hispanic and Latino Americans, and the Asian Americans, has faced so much bigotry from the majority. During the test of true freedom and independence, the "true colors" of the majority started coming out! Racism was flaming! Sometimes I have to ask myself, is America really an free and independent country as they say it is? Do all of us really have freedom of speech and religion as the Constitution says? Do we have freedom of education? President Obama says it is time for a change, and he is right, it is time for a change. People of Unity, in 2011, lets fight for freedom! Lets fight for education! Lets fight for equality and justice! It is important for us to move forward! We can't go back! America should be for everyone! Also, 2011 is officially campaign season for the 2012 election, and please do not give up on Barack Obama! He is still trying to get America back on track. I will still vote for him! Rome was not built in a day!

Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour on Racism in Mississippi: "It wasn't that bad."

I've been listening to Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour trying to make us forgive and forget what happened in Mississippi regarding race,"it wasn't that bad", Barbour says. Is he serious? That is easy for Haley Barbour to say, he didn't have to sit in the back of the bus. He didn't have to worry about getting lynched for something simple day by day. White Mississippians watched in amusement, laughter, and fun as if they were
in Six Flags and Disney World taking the lives of African Americans. These white Mississippians knew damn well the black Mississippians did nothing wrong. The white people in Mississippi did this because they thought of black people in Mississippi as "unhuman" and "animals" and "a different kind of blood that was not normal". The white people in Mississippi were so bold and proud and stuck their chests out and stood by the "abnormal" people that they were slowly genociding and taken pictures because deep in their hearts they actually felt that they were always a step ahead to making their country pure. The noose that was tied to the strongest tree branch literally stole every breath per second from a living spirit, the rope was gripping tighter by the neck as the weight of the body pulls down, stole every heartbeat with the face crying blood from the inside of their eyes. Haley Barbour never had to endure a negative stereotype day after day. Barbour had never been called a "nigger" or "coon" directly in the face. Barbour had never been literally put down because of the color of his skin. Barbour has never been told that he couldn't do anything because of the color of his skin. He has never been told that he couldn't be a doctor or a lawyer or a police officer. He has never had to look down to the ground to talk to someone. Things always went his way and he has never had to struggle. Barbour was never forced to use the " For colored only" bathroom, a dirty filthy toilet and sink filled with deadly bacteria to wash your hands with that has never been cleaned in years without soap to wash your hands with. He always had to use the "whites only" bathroom, with a clean toilet and sink with soap in there everyday, simply because white people were thought of as "clean" and "sanitary" and colored people were thought of as "dirty,filthy, and smelling". Haley Barbour was one of those people that always kept himself up regarding appearance, while african americans constantly had dirt on them, causing african americans
to think of themselves as nothing. There are into two sections in one gravesite, as if there are two different kinds of heavens and two different kinds of hell for each race: a side for whites and a side for African Americans. Haley Barbour didn't get sprayed by a water hose at a high pressure until his skin came off. Haley Barbour didn't get beat up by the police until his body turned blood red everyday. Haley didn't have to worry about his brothers and sisters being beat up and raped everyday. There were so many African Americans murdered and lynched in Mississippi due to racsim or fighting against racism and anybody that was white got away with it. Living in Mississippi was pure hell for African Americans. If Governor Haley Barbour doesn't know, then he needs to go back to school. Also, with Governor Barbour praising the White Citizens Council (now called the Concil of Conservative Citizens)proves that Governor Haley Barbour is a racists. It is a shame that he has these ways of thinking today. Let us not forget the life of Emmitt Till, who got killed for looking at a white woman? And what about Medgar Evers just to name a few.
These African Americans got fair trials several years later.Governor Haley Barbour wouldn't be talking that mess if "the shoe was on the other foot" and he has not walked a mile in anyone's shoes. Governor Barbour, have you been wrapped up in your own little world that you forgot what it was like in Mississippi?

I'm so so sorry, hurt, and disappointed that the Dream Act didn't pass in the Senate. The Senators that voted "No" to the DREAM Act ought to be ashamed of themselves.This is suppose to be United States of America, "Land of the free", an independent country. Lately, this country hasn't been living up to it's slogan.My heart goes out to you. I understand the DREAM Act was suppose to be your path to citizenship. This Act would also help solve immigration in the United States. Why in the hell didn't five so-called Democrats in the Senate help passed the Dream Act? Please don't give up on this. Now who are the following sell outs responsible for this? The people that voted "no" are making a bunch of excuses not to pass this Act. These people are giving America a bad name. First of all, I would love and proud to tell say that I supported the DREAM ACT for Immigrants all the way! I would like to say that every negative stereotype that was targeted
toward Latinos, Hispanics, Africans, and Asians are lies made up by the majority. Don't let the majority take away your spirit! I love all people and wish you life, liberty, and happiness. If the people voted "no" on the DREAM Act, that means that deep down, they are scared, and their true colors are showing. These people that voted "no" on the DREAM Act are scared that every negative stereotype that they said about immigrants for years are not true at all. Congratulations on getting the Dream Act passed in the House of Representativess on December 8, 2010. This is one of the signs that America is changing.We are finally moving foward. But our work toward freedom and equal rights are not yet finished, there is still work to be done. The Hypocrisy of Republican John Boehner

I was wondering did anyone check out the 60 minutes interview with John Boehner on CBS. I have it hear in case no one seen it. You know what, if John Boehner says he "cares" about the American People, he would've let the Health Care Reform Bill pass instead of trying to stop it, because there are American citizens who can't afford to pay for insurance, with or without a job. He would've let the Bush Tax Cuts expire instead of letting it continue, because there are American citizens who are struggling to pay their bills and other necessities. John Boehner says he grew up with 12 other children and had only one bathroom in the house. I think he ought to be ashamed of himself today for being a Republican. He doesn't care about the American citizens. I shook my head after watching this interview. John Boehner of all people should understand what it is like to be poor.I'm so pissed at the fact that Boehner was poor when he was little and now that he is rich he doesn't want to contribute to the middle class American citizens.I think John Boehner is a hyprocrite. A person who cares about the American people would make sure that others would not have to struggle the same way as that person has during the early years. John Boehner may have went to church, but he is not a Christian. Christians show compassion and kindness. And get a load of all that crying he was doing! Seriously, if he actually cared about the American citizens, he would help them achieve the their American Dream as well!

A Catch 22

Dear American Fellow Liberal Democrats,

I understand that you are angry over the President Obama's decision concerning the Bush tax Cuts. But you've got to understand how and why President Obama decided on the decision he made. In my opinion, I think the
rich Republicans had all of this mess planned even before they entered that White House. The Republicans knew the President Obama was going to let those Bush Tax Cuts expire at the end of December 2010. When January 2010 come around, those rich Republicans' taxes were going to go sky high! In January 2010, the Republicans were going to have to dig into their pockets and they didn't want to do that. People, I truely and honestly think that President Obama was going to let the Bush Tax Cuts expire, I really do! But what was President Obama's change of heart? If the Republicans didn't get their way, they were going to turn down everything though of to help the American citizens. The Republicans were going cut unemployment benefits and everthing else anybody can think of! The Republicans would also refuse to work with President Obama as well.People, President Obama was literally BLACKMAILED by those Republicans just so they can get what they want! In my opinion, this is an unprofessional way to run the country! I also had a scary vibe that if the Republicans blackmailed President Obama one time, the Republicans will think that this is what they can do in order to get what they want out of him. Oh, and let's not forget Mitch McConnell's goal: Making Obama a one term President. I believe President Obama thought about this for a long time, and he had to make the decision carefully. President Obama couldn't let American citizens be without money and he couldn't let them starve!
These are people's lives we're talking about! This was a life-threatening situation concerning American citizens! President Obama was more concerned about the lives well-being. People, keep in mind that the rich Republicans are not in touch with reality and don't understand what is important life. They don't know what is it like to "be without". Republicans never had to struggle, and they always had everything handed to them. Now, the Republicans actually believe it is easy to find an easy job in the real world. That is not true!!! Right now the economy is not good in America and as of today people are struggling to make ends meet. People are getting laid off from their jobs left and right this very moment.
And right now unemployment benefits are a neccessity. So I'm not angry at President Obama at all, I'm angry at the Republicans planning their evil tactics around the White House.

I Still Support President Obama and It Is the Middle Class Republicans Fault That We Are In This Mess!

I just want to say that I still support President Obama after what just happened. President Obama signed something that would let the middle class keep the unemployment benefits and the rich Republicans could keep their Bush Tax Cuts. Now, keep in mind that President Obama didn't like this mess himself. President Obama had no choice but to settle and sign because he didn't want the middle class families to starve and be unable to pay their bills in this time of financial crisis. But you know what, the truth must be said. All of this is not President Obama's fault. Rich Republicans care about one thing, and that is money! Those damn Republicans had President Obama trapped. None of this would've happened if those damn rich Republicans weren't voted in the White House to begin with. As soon as those Republicans got into the White House, I knew good and well everything was going to go downhill. I knew we were messed up and nothing was going to get done. I know American citizens are angry right now, but I put the blame at the middle class Republicans who voted those rich Republicans to be put in the White House. Also, there are some exetremely racists middle class Republicans that can't stand to see a minority such as a black man as President of the United States succeed. Those racist middle class Republicans rather starve to death and let their family suffer and be without a dime than to let a minority such as a black man succeed as President in America. Some racist middle class Republicans can't stand at the fact that there is a black man in charge at the White House. On November 2, 2010, the middle class Republicans were stupid as hell to put those rich Republicans (who by the way don't give a damn about the middle class Republicans) in the White House. If the majority had put all Democrats in the White House, none of this would have happened. The Bush Tax Cuts would have expired.

That is what they mean right? The Motives Behind the November 2010 Elected Republicans

People of Unity,

Please keep in mind that the Republicans' intentions for the President Obama is to fail. President Obama is trying his best to do what he can for the people. In this mess, I still believe in President Obama. I don't care if President Obama ran for a fourth term, I will still vote for him. The only reason why those Republicans like Boehner and McConnell are because of one thing, and that is the Bush Tax Cuts. That has been the Republicans' number one priority eversince they elected into office on November 2, 2010.They don't want to help the middle class. As I said before, the Republicans don't care about helping schools to educate children, they don't care about helping construction workers make the roads safer and easy to drive on for American citizens, they don't care about helping people with their health issues and they don't care about helping people keep government jobs that are neccessary to help keep the America moving along. These Republicans just refuse to work with President Obama. I can't deal with the fact that the Republicans' stand in the office and continuously rape America-taking advantage of the middle class for their own personal pleasures, with no remorse from the Republicans. While the Republicans live well and prosperously, toasting up their wine glasses towards the ceiling, middle class America suffers in sorrow, agony, pain, and anxiety. The Republicans'take whatever they want from the middle class and not have any consequences whatsoever, because when you get down to it, its all about wealth and power for the Republicans. People of Unity, we can't let President Obama to fail. I want President Obama to succeed. While the Republicans continue to bring down Obama, I hope the people who voted for the Republicans take advantage of this opportunity to see their true colors.

What happened to America?

As I watch the Republicans who got elected into Congress into the White House on Nov 2, 2010 make plans for 2011, I realize that our freedom, our independence, and rights to be ourselves are slowly being taken away from us! What is happening? This is not the United States of America I grew up with. What happened to the freedom of will power and the independence that other countries around the world envied us of? These Republicans are making decisions that are making American citizens' heart palpitate. The Republicans are making the rules as they go, making life easy for them and harder for American middle class citizens. Why are the Republicans treating middle class like they are better than us? The Republicans of the United States of America are taking away our free will of learning (some states are changing their education cirriculum), people's free right of citizenship to run away from bad times and hardship, prisonment, and dictatorship (immigration), our insurance of survival during career search (taking away unemployment benefits), and acceptance who we are regardless while serving the community and the country (Don't Ask, Don't Tell), and finally, changing the United States Constitution. America used to be a safe haven for EVERYONE to pursue their dreams of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. What in the hell happened?

Republicans want to end Unemployment Benefits in 2011

People of Unity, you will not believe what I heard on the Ed Show on MSNBC. The Republicans who just got elected to the White House in November 2, 2010, has decided to take away Unemployment Benefits for people who got laid off, fired, or trying to find a job. This is insane! How will people with children be able to survive? These Republicans should be ashamed of themselves! They don't care about anyone but themselves! I don't know about you guys, but I don't think I can deal with this for two more years! This country is really turning into a third world country. I can't believe this! The rich people are going to be celebrating and relaxing while the middle class is going to be stressed out and starving! If you lose your job, you are screwed! The Republicans are reversing everything that Bush Administration had. Something must be done about this, because come January 2011, this is going to be crazy! The New Immigration Law in Florida

It is clear that the SB 1070 law is targeting certain ethnic backgrounds and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what I'm talking about. The state of Florida is not going after Canadians and Europeans because the Republicans in Florida THINK they look like Americans. This proves exactly how closed-minded Republicans are because they think the Canadians and Europeans contains one or two racial backgrounds and that is not true. In my opinion, Canadians and Europeans are going to be discriminated against anyway because just like America, Canada and Europe both contain a large variety of ethnic people. You can be Hispanic and come from Europe. You can be white and come from Africa, Jamaica, Haiti and Domician Republic. I was afraid this was going to happen! This is the racial discrimination that the ethnic citiziens was trying to get away from for years. There are reasons why people from different countries is to get away from dictatorship, poverty and many other struggles that are going on in their countries. Immigrants come here to seek the priceless dream of independence and freedom. Immigrants want their chance in this country too.The Obama Administration really need to do something about this because the states are making up their own immigration laws and it is getting out of control. Once again I'm sorry for the Immigrants who are trying to do the best they can to live good lives in America. The Wrath of the Republicans: Deficit Commission Proposal

Well my Brothers and Sisters, the Republicans are not even in the White House yet and they're already messing up!Have anyone seen the newly Deficit Proposal? The newly Deficit Commission Proposal include the following: Raising the age for Social Security, Curtail Medicare Spending, Eliminate some tax credits, add gasoline tax, Slash White House Capital Hill Budgets, and eliminate earmarks. Are those Republicans out of they're mind? I know these Republicans don't expect forthe elderly to get up and get jobs, I know! Also, a lot of American citizens can't afford to pay to go to the doctor out of their pockets! Going to the doctor is expensive! How many more people have to die just because they don't have the money. This is America! This country is suppose to take care of their citizens!I agree with Nancy Pelosi bless her heart when she says "This is unacceptable!" My brothers and sisters, please don't be mislead, it is not President Obama that came up with those plans, please keep in mind it is these Republicans that are making these plans. Of course, you all know President Obama is not going to approve of this. The solution to this problem is simple, but the Republicans don't want to do it, and this is to GET RID OF THE BUSH TAX CUTS!!!!!! All hell will break lose if they don't. It is a shame that the Republicans rather sacrifice the well-beings of the middle class than pay a few dollars! I'm sick of this mess! How much more do we have to take? It is hard not to let this get to me.
But you know what? The Tea Party Memebers put those Republicans in charge, and the Tea Party Members are goingto get what they deserve. Those same Tea Party Members that had those signs saying "Don't mess with my Social Security!" and "Keep the Government out of our lives!" are going to suffer! The Policy of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"

This is simply a form of discrimination. It is unconstitutional to fire someone simply because of their sexual orientation after "coming out". Not to give anyone any ideas or I maybe exaggerating, but I'm worried that this law will extend on other careers besides the United States military and the navy, such as teaching, firefighting, police working, etc. If this "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" comes into practice, several people will lose their jobs and this will be one of the contributions by the Republicans that will send the United States-Land of the Free-backwards instead of forward. Equal opportunity will no longer exists in the United States. To tell the truth, the sexual orientation of a person is none of our business. This is America and the life of that person, they have the right to live it their way. We as people have absolutely no right whatsoever to tell that person how to live their life.

Happy Veteran's Day to our troops who have been in the past wars and to our present troops are in Iraq.I also hope the government will treat our veteran's better than just giving them a holiday. I wish some of the veterans were not struggling after they get back home and I wish they were not going through homelessness (please believe there are some homeless veterans in America) and the veteran's have absolutely no business whatsoever going through that after what they did for America. Some slave narratives are fiction and others are non-fiction. They reveal the horrors,ordeals, and how slaves were treated as personal property and even classified as different species instead of being treated as equals to the white community. Slavesalso had to endure stereotypes, racial slurs,hardships, and the living conditions they were under (some slaves had to sleep on thefloor, for example). It was illegal for slaves to read and write.
In the slave narratives, the slave’s grammar was extremely different from the modern grammar in which we speak today. They show us the openings of complex dialogue between whites and black people in America. Slaves even called themselves “niggers” because that was how they were labeled when they cameto this country. Slave narratives also reveal the struggles for black people in the so-called “states of freedom” in the North. The Northern states were just as racist as the Southern states.
Slave narratives should be taught and shown to students in American Literature and United States History because they are important stories about former slaves and slaves who escaped struggling to get their freedom and rights in the southern states in America. They teach African Americans about their heritage and who their ancestors were during the eighteenth and nineteenth century. Reading slave narratives goes into a deeper level as regarding to lecturing to students what slavery was about. I guest schools don’t allow slave narratives to be read to students because of the graphic racial slurs,violence, and sexual situations between masters and slaves.
BUT if teachers and college professors are going to goto this “deeper level” ofteaching about slavery, everyone MUST be prepared ofthe emotions and conflicts that will arise. There are dozens and dozens of slavenarratives on the web, such as “An Introduction to the WPA Slave Narratives”(http://lcweb2.loc.gov/ammem/snhtml/snhome.html). You can choose which state you want to select. I’ve read slave narratives from the state of Alabama, some from Mobile, Oak Grove, Prichard, Fairhope, Monroeville, Bay Minette, Orchard, Montgomery, and Birmingham. The slave Narratives also come from other states as well.

When I read these narratives, I felt that I was robbed of a certain part of education that the text books failed to mention. I thought there no limits when it comes to learning, not only on slavery, but a lot ofother things in history aswell. But I guest that’s just a lie that shields all children, teenagers, and even adults away from the truth of how things really werein the past. If teachers are going to teach something, why won’t they teach the truth? I don't think it is fair to lie to the students.These slave narratives were like stories like Huckleberry Finn or Gone With the Wind.These narratives are real true stories that actually happened from ex-slaves that were interviewed by the people of WPA (Works Progress Administration). The Confederate Flag

While I was the Mobile Museum of Art, I have seen a quilt completed by Yvonne Wells represents the truth behind the state of Alabama. This quilt has no title, but it tells everything. A building on soil ground with three flags on the very top hanging on the pole. One flag represent our freedom and independence; the second flag represent what state we are in, and another flag represent an unpleasant history that anger some people and proudly reminds other people about their history and their heritage. One side where my brothers and sisters are trying to pull it down because this flag is a reminder of our past in which we NEVER want to go back to. This flag is a reminder of our oppression, the injustice, the beatings with large whips that resulted in everlasting large trade-marks from them and bloody scars in the hands of our ancestors’ masters, the raping of our female African American ancestors who had no decisions when it came to there bodies. The bodies of our female ancestors belong to there white masters at anytime they wanted their lust and desires satisfied and fulfilled. It is also reminders of our original, true names were taken away and we were forced to adapt name made up by our masters, the education we couldn’t get in those days because in the past they like to think of black people as dumb and stupid. In the past we were considered property, we were not allowed to have our own mind or free-will of thinking, we were forced to adapt our masters’ opinion, the only thing we were allowed to do is obey them. Sometimes, there were some black people who were forced to take the role of their masters or their masters would teach some black people how to do a typical master’s job involving slaves if they were considered a “good slave”. This flag is a reminder of how white people wanted and actually fought to keep slavery on forever. I’m not sure whether black people were forced to fight in the civil war or whether it was a choice, but the fact remains that they were part of the civil war, and they couldn’t even get the same rights as white people have. Now on the other side of the building and the confederate flag, the white people want to keep the flag up because it reminds them about their “rich, southern history” and as I said before, their heritage. Some people want to go back to the way it was, the huge plantation houses, and the huge land filled trees. But what about us? This confederate flag is also a reminder of how slavery began; black people were taken away from their families. Black kings and black queens were tricked into coming into America and sold off as a piece of property. The people who decided to bring the confederate flag were not thinking about the black people and were not considerate of their opinion whatsoever. They actually thought black people would not be offended and angry about this. We flag has one more reminder: How we were kept in bondage and mentally chained all these years. Aftermath of the Election

John Boehner now gets the opportunity to extend the Bush Tax Break for the Republicans. This is a disaster for the American citizens. What about the schools and other places that need money. Boehner will finally get to appeal the new Health Care Plan because he doesn't want to help people who can't afford health care even if they are working. What is it going to take to get American citizens to see that Boehner doesn't give a damn about you! He only cares about himself and his damn tanning salons! For years the Republicans have counted on the uneducated American citizens to back them up. The Republicans and Tea Party members have been talking about taking their country back and hating President Obama. They haven't
explained anything whatsoever about how they are going to fix the problems in this country. Ok, what a minute I take that last sentence back. The Tea Party members explained they don't want the government to help them by saying "Leave my Social Security alone" etc. But these Tea Party members are not thinking with a full deck. Those old people with who have nothing to live on with the exception of their Social Security, COMES FROM THE GOVERNMENT! WITHOUT THE GOVERNMENT THERE WOULD BE ANY SOURCE OF INCOME FOR THE ELDERLY WHO ARE LIVING ON THEIR OWN! REPUBLICANS SAY THEY FOCUSING ON JOBS JOBS JOBS,BUT DO SOME OF THOSE JOBS INCLUDE THE GOVERNMENT? So, Republicans, you said you don't need the Government in your lives?
Ok, how about the jobs like mail people, teachers, police officiers, firefighters, doctors, construction workers, did I leave anybody out?The Republicans don't care nor discussed how are they going to solve the problems about the war in Iraq, they didn't discuss how they'll solve the problems about people losing their homes and/or jobs, they didn't discuss how they were going to fix other problems and situations regarding America. The only thing Republicans said is, "We are going to take our country back!". The Republicans main goal is to bring President Obama down because they hate him with a passion. The Republicans want Obama to fail, no matter the cost. For a person to wish and hope President Obama fails is sick, disgraceful, and unhuman because you never know when you would be affected by that wish. When the Republicans say they hope President Obama fails, they are saying "I want my family and children to suffer", "I want my children to starve", "I don't want my family to have a roof over their heads", "I want my family to be broke", "I want my family to be stressed out", "I want my family to be in pain", "I don't want my childen to have a good education", "I don't want my children to go to college". It is amazing how sick these Republicans can be.President Barack Obama said he will work with the Republicans to get things done. So, what is the Republicans'definition of "working together"? Is it "coming up with solutions so everyone can be happy" or is it "the President doing what the Republicans say and/or want?

Nothing can hold us down!

Eventhough some people who fought for justice and equality for everyone were assassinated, they still survived in a way through their children and their relatives and as of today the world is still changing with their help. This should prove to us that violence solves absolutely nothing. While some people are choosing to stick to their old traditional
philosophies, the world and the other people in it are evolving. The Kennedy Family, for example, has grown and continued to fight for the people around the country despite the history of violence that happened to them. John F. Kennedy, eventhough his body died, his spirit was still alive and around us through his children and his philosophies continued to change the country for the better. Robert F. Kennedy, eventhough his body died, his spirit remained alive and around us through his children and his philosophies continued to change the country for the better. Same goes for Martin Luther King, Jr, Malcolm X, Medgar Evers, and other people fought
for equality. Eventhough their bodies died, their spirits and philosophies carried on to make a difference in this world. The Tea Party Movement can flaunt their racism as they please. The KKK can keep on conducting their marches. They can beat us, rape us, intimidate us, and threaten us all they want to, but the fact remains that our spirit of wanting equal rights
and people of color coming together will survive and influence other people to do good for the world until the end of time. The days of Jim Crow will end! Don't ever underestimate us!

The Tea Party Movement is NOT a real movement!

As I looked at a mini magazine called Scholastic, the holiday gift books edition, I scanned through page six and glanced through the info on a children's book called"Marching for Freedom" by Elizabeth Partidge. The book is appropriate for children grades 4 and up. The book is based on lives of brave African American childrenwho represent all the lives of the African American community in the past who went through horrific violence for the precious gift of equality. The book cover reminded me of all the struggles we and other minorities went through over the years. While I was looking at this section on page six, while thoughts went across my mind about the Tea Party Movement. The members of the Tea Party went through absolutely nothing compareto what the African Americans, Jewish Americans, Japanese Americans, Muslim Americans and Hispanic Americans went through in the past (and to this day we are still struggling for acceptance and equality). The members of the Tea Party Movement make me sick to my stomach with their racist signs comparing President Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler. The Tea Party Movement is not even a real movement! They're just a bunch of uneducated people who don't know the difference between up and down! Real movements and organizations such as the NAACP, the American Civil Liberties, LULAC (The League of United Latin American Citizens) were formed soul purposes:to pursue the rights of life, liberty, and happiness and to have the same precious gift of freedom and equality just like the majority of the United States. These organizations were created because minorities have been through a certain struggle. The members of the Tea Party Movement didn't face real hard times. They weren't sold into slaveryas if they were property. Their land weren't taken away from them and were forced to move from place to place during the heat and the cold. Members of the TeaParty Movement weren't put in concentration camps filled with gas and forced to eat soup that contained sewage. The members of the Tea Party Movementhaven't had lynch mobs running after them and then taking pictures of people being hung from the tree. Am I missing anything?And that sideshow circus act that Glenn Beck and his victims performed at the Lincoln Memorial was in insult to the real people who did face real times and hadno equal rights and no freedom. It was also in insult to MLK's legacy. It really tripped me out as I seen everybody at that Glenn Beck rally singing and holding handsand rocking side to side, as if they've been through hard times.The Tea Party Movement hold rallies at different places and shout through their lungs "as if theyreally been through some hard times". Please, OK!! They have been through NOTHING AT ALL!!!The only thing that the members of the Tea Party Movement had to do was contribute money to the government! The Tea Party Movement think their country is gone, huh?Who took it away from them? So the Tea Party Movement doesn't want the government to mess with their Social Security checks, huh? Do these people realize that theirchecks come from the government? Do these people realize they can't survive without taxes? America can't operate without taxes. And I will say it again, the members of the Tea Party Movement has been through NOTHING!!!!

The True Colors Of Jeff Sessions(R-AL)

According to several articles from the internet Jeff Sessions said that civil right organizations NAACP and the American Civil Liberties Union
(ACLU) is un-American and "Communist-inspired" simply because he thinks people of different ethnic backgrounds shoved civil rights down the throats of majorities. People of Unity, this is insane!!!! Is he serious? Also, Sessions thought that the KKK was good until he found out that the organization smoked pot. Say What? So you mean to tell me that Jeff Sessions approve of the behavior of the KKK terrorizing people of different ethnic backgrounds by using death threats, lynching them on trees, burning crosses on American citizens' front lawns and getting away with such crimes is OK to this man? This is inhuman, a twisted black heart of stone. This man should be fired from his position, because this attitude can't be tolerated anywhere. Also, Sessions think that
people who are illegal immigrants shouldn't receive legal citizenship in the United States. Why? Then he said that he didn't mean anything by his comments. People of Unity, watch out for Republicans who "start to change their words around" and claims of "people taking the comments the wrong way" routine. People like Sarah Palin, George W. Bush, and yes Jeff Sessions can show their true colors in public by accident. This also show us that Jeff Sessions and other people like him doesn't care about anyone
but himself. These racists comments may have erected from Sessions' tongue in the 1980s, but the wounds that he inflicted on the multicultural
community will last forever and will never heal. Also, the purpose for the multicultural organizations such as the NAACP and American Civil Liberties
is promote and achieve the same equal rights as the majority in America. People of ethnic backgrounds deserve the right to pursue life, liberty, and
the pursuit of happiness. People of ethnic backgrounds deserve their chance and their place in America and this world as well. People like Jeff Sessions can't accept the fact that the world is changing and is afraid that people like him will become a "minority". I guess Jeff Sessions thought that the past couldn't catch up with him.

What is more important regarding America?

Is President Barack Obama a Christian or a Muslim? WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Republicans are worried about the wrong things concerning the President! There are more important issues to worry about such as the economy, education, health care, etc. Republicans' priorities are just messed up. Republicans are not concerned nor discussing the issues concerning America! And I can't believe the poor people who are Republicans can't see all this! Republicans are wasting time talking about President Obama's religion and hyping up American citizens saying, "We are going to take our country back"! It doesn't matter what kind of religion he is in, Republicans can't do anything about it! Republicans can't see the fact that the reason that John Boehner wants to be Speaker of the House is so he won't have to pay taxes, taxes that will help public school systems, teachers, firefighters, police officers, and construction workers on the job because we need them. President Obama is trying to keep America from being a "third-world country" and the Republicans are discussing the President's religion! Democrats have more important things to do than to be annoyed by these tactics the Republicans are planning.

The So-Called Constitutionist

Eversince the beginning of the Obama Era, Republicans are panicing that their "rights" would be taken away from them. Several members of the Republican Party says that President Barack Obama is going against the constitution of the United States of America. As you know, some people are rebeling and fighting back against the Obama Administration by calling them "un-American" and claiming they want their country back. They also made claims that this is not "the America they grew up in". They want the "America they had before". By feeling this way is how the Tea Party Movement formed. So what is the problem with the Obama Administration? I don't see a problem with them. Why didn't other people feel this way about Bush? Why wasn't the Tea Party formed when the Bush Administration was in the White House? In my opinion our country became lost when it went into war oversees (a war until this day I have no idea the purpose is) for almost ten years. Please let's make peace the Middle East! Why were we over there in this first place? Also, our country became lost when the Bush Administration doing endless spending of billions of dollars on the war by raising gas prices and groceries. Our country became lost when people started losing their homes (and I found this strange when dozens of people started losing their homes at the same time). Our country became lost when a natural disaster came and it the Bush Administration took entirely too long to respond leaving the people of Lousiana, Mississippi, and Alabama left for dead. Our country was lost when the Bush Administration gave the rich people a break by not making them pay taxes and making middle and poor class American citizens lose their jobs and our necessities such as school systems, hospitals, firefighters, and police officers struggle. In my eyes, we are all American citizens and rich people aren't any better than middle or poor class people. Also, we must examine the hipocrisy of the right-wing Republicans. If these Republicans and the Tea Party Movement call themselves "constitutionist", they why are they trying to change the fourteeth amendement to suit their desires and no one else's? The fourteeth amendment is, after all, part of the constitution. According to the fourteeth amendment, if that person, no matter what ethnic background or where the parents come from, was born on American soil, in an American state, in an American city, in an American street, in an American hospital or home, then that person is an American citizen. No questions asked. If the republicans are behind the United States Constitution, then why don't they believe the President Barack Obama is a U.S. citizen. President Obama was born in Hawaii in the 1960's. Hawaii became a state of America on August 21, 1959. Also, if all Americans have the freedom of religion, which is also in the United States constitution, then why are so many people objecting and rebeling to the idea of a Muslim Mosque building in New York? They say Ground Zero is "Sacred Ground", and that is true, it is "Sacred Ground". But, if the Republicans cared so much about the Sacred Ground Zero, they would've approved the health bill for the policemen, the doctors, and the firefighters who got sick trying to rescue the victims who suffered during that ordeal in 9/11/2001. But the Republicans refused to approve the health bill for the people who tried to rescue the victims of 9/11/2001. Also, what did the arsoning of the Muslim Mosque even happen in Mumfeesboro, Tennessee? The Republicans and the Tea Party Movement are suppose to believe and support the United States Constitution. Back during the era of George Washington, John Adams, and Abe Lincoln, when the United States recieved it independence, the United States Constitution only applied to the Majority (you know what I'm talking about). Slaves didn't count as Americans. Slaves didn't have the same priviledges and freedom as the majority did. But now, it's 2010. Today the constitution applies to everyone, whether they are majority or minority, the constitution applies to everyone, regardless of race, religion, and sexuality. President Obama looks out for everyone, especially those who are struggling to survive.

It Is Time For The Wealthy To Pay their Dues!

John Boehner is plotting to get in as Speaker of the House and the rest of the Republicans are planning to "take back their country" (whatever that means) and the rich people want to get voted into Congress to keep from paying taxes. Republicans like Boehner wants to keep their money to themselves and doesn't want to help the middle and poor class and the system (public school boards, prison systems, Department of Human Resources, etc). If the People's House (as Obama says it) and the American citizens continue to give the wealthy Americans a break the middle and poor American citizens will continue to suffer from low income, low salaries, and poor hourly wages. Also, public school systems will suffer because their money comes from taxes. It takes money to run public schools effectively. Also, doctors, teachers, nurses, construction workers make their salaries from taxes. State Governments need money from taxes to make roads and streets stable. Community centers such as the Boys and Girls Club must stay open in order to keep children from getting into trouble. The level of crime can decrease as well because people can have stable jobs. Part of the reason why the level of crime is so high is because people have very little money and have jobs that make them work extremely hard with very little pay. Sometimes people have to work two jobs just to get by. It is time for the rich to start paying what they owe. This country is suffering. People are angry and struggling to keep a roof over their heads for their families. To keep the wealthy American citizens from paying taxes would be selfish, unfair, and unhuman because there are things that need to be done and things that need to be fixed around the country. If the wealthy don't want to pay taxes, that means they don't care about the well-beings of the American middle and poor class, they don't care about the systems of the public, and they don't care about the well-being of their country. If we let the wealthy American citizens slide on paying their dues, America will be turning into a third-world country!

To my Muslim Brothers and Sisters

I come to you in peace,love, and harmony. I'm an African American Christian and I have respect for your religion. I just want to say that Pastor Terry Jones doesn't speak for us in America. We as Americans don't buy into the ignorance of Pastor Terry Jones of Florida. Terry Jones' behavior and views toward Muslims doesn't classify Jones' as a true Christian. True Christians are really compassionate, loving and tolerant people, with the fear of God within them.Christians are suppose to be good to other people regardless of race, religion, etc. Christians are suppose to have humble attitudes, not arrogant attitudes. Please don't let Pastor Terry Jones or anybody else give you the wrong idea about the religion of Christianity. No one, I mean absolutely no one has the right as an American to tell you as Muslim-Americans or any other American where to construct a building or an event. America is an independent and a free country. If Pastor Terry Jones was a true man of God, he would pray to God for peace between Muslims and Americans. If Pastor Terry Jones was a true man of God, he would respect the Muslim culture and welcome you with open arms in peace and love. To other Christians Americans including myself, burning a Quran is considered to be disrespectful, un-Christian, and unconstitutional. My Muslim brothers and sisters, I hope you still want to make peace with America. We have been through too much for nine years. Christians don't think like Pastor Terry Jones and again please don't let Terry Jones give you the wrong idea about Christians. And please don't let Pastor Terry Jones give you the wrong idea about America.

To my Muslim Brother and Sisters, I love you, and America was not built on Hate, it was built on Love and Independence

People of Unity, I'm very upset of what Terry Jones, author of the book, "Islam is of the Devil" and a senior pastor at Dove World Outreach Center in Orlando, Florida. Terry Jones, who calls himself a man of God is not expressing Christianity. Jones is expressing hatred and strife by declaring 9/11/2001 "International Burn a Quran Day". Burning flags of other countries and other bibles from other religions is not Christian-like. Terry Jones is about to put not only the American troops in danger but the American country as well. The Obama Administration is working extremely hard on making peace with the Middle East and Jones is about to destroy that. This man from church should not be doing an act of hate, if Jones and the rest of the church congregation have Christian values, he and the members of his church would be praying for peace, love, and unity for both parties of the war. There could be a possiblity that those loved ones fighting in that war could be relatives of some of the church members. I was taught that Christians are suppose to be tolerant and express love and compassion. Christians are suppose to love other people regardless of their religion and other views. Christians are not suppose to be violent people. Christian Pastors are also suppose to have the same views as God and Jesus Christ. Terry Jones is suppose to be an example of love, tolerace, and faith. He is also suppose to be an example to the children. Jones is suppose to show children to love people regardless of religion, race, and other views. Christians are suppose to have humble attitudes. This church is suppose to promote goodness and rise above violent tactics. Jones is being a hypocrite because he says he and other people have freedom of religion, but he is not respecting Islam's religion. There is no justification for this kind of hate and retaliation. Christians are suppose to be non-judgemental and Jones is judging other people's religion.To the people of worship the religion of Islam, as an American Christian, I'm very sorry for this kind of behavior.
Also to my Muslim brothers and sisters, I just want you to know that I'm against people like Terry Jones who is promoting ignorance. And I love you. Peace and Unity to you. Terry Jones is a discrace to the people in America.

The New Immigration Law in Arizona

I believe that the New Immigration Law will encourage racism and racial profiling from white people and law enforcements. According to the govenor of Arizona, she is trying to protect the state and country from crimes such as kidnapping and drugs. These are things that Americans do as well in my opinion. What worries me the most is that other states will
be influenced to start this law as well because immigrants are not just in Arizona, they are in other states as well. This immigration law will set all people of color 60 years back. To me, it looks like it is going to be the return of Jim Crow Laws. The governor of Arizona say she won't tolerate racial profiling. In my opinion, law enforcements asking for papers to look at just because he or she is Chinese or Mexican or just listening by the way he or she sounds is an insult. All people of different races need to get together and protest this law. I'm afraid White children will be taught by their parents or white people that people of a different race or color will be labeled as "illegal alien" .
We as people can't have this. Martin Luther King, Jr, Malcolm X, Rosa Parks, Medgar Evers, and other civil rights leaders have came too far to achieve eqaual rights for us. If we as people let this slide, civil rights will be violated. As a matter of fact, this not only concerns the immigrants of Arizona, this concerns all of us! WE MUST PROTEST!
Govenor Jan Brewer of Arizona is giving America a bad reputation and destroying the freedom and independence for everyone that great people in history has worked so hard for. Me as an American, I speak from my heart when I say I am so sorry and hurt. I understand and feel your pain, my hispanic brothers and sisters. The Obama Administration will do something about this law. President Obama also feels that this new law is unjust and racist.To telll the truth, we are all immigrants in the United States. African Americans came from Africa, Caucasian Americans came from Europe, and Hispanic Americans as well as Asian Americans came from various countries of the world. The only people who aren't immigrants in the United States are the Native Americans. My heart goes out to you who are need and want to make a better life for yourselves and your family.

Hold on to the truth about Martin Luther King's Dream

Glenn Beck's version of "I Have A Dream", which took place on August 28, 2010 in Washington, D.C. is an insult to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s legacy and life, this is an insult to MLK's children, this is an insult to MLK's wife, Corretta Scott King who has been doing MLK's job of keeping up his legacy when her husband was assinated, this is an insult to all the people of color, even if some of them are Republican, and this is an insult to the people of color who maybe to blind to see through Glenn Beck's motives. MLK's motives and goals was for people of every race to come together and love one another and become united as one and have the same equal rights that the majority have in the United States of America, including hoping that all people of different races and religions' eligibility of being elected President of the United States, whether they were Democrat or Republican. MLK motives were to find people to run the country that understood the years of struggle within people of different ethnicity. MLK died fighting "against"racism.Glenn Beck's motives, however, is to ridicule the first person of color to be the President of the United States, because Glenn Beck is a racists. People like Glenn
Beck, however, is one who always had rights in America. Glenn Beck is unhuman for calling President Obama a racist eventhough his mother is white and have white grandparents. While MLK's motives was for every human being of different races to be united as one, Glenn Beck's motives is to divide the races in America, and people who are divided can't stand as one in a country. To this day, civil rights leaders of different races in American are still fighting for equality defined in the Constitution. Glenn Beck is one of the people that is trying to set America back seventy years. All of this proves just how ignorant Glenn Beck is.
Barack Obama is helping people who are struggling economically and regarding health.If MLK was alive today, he would be proud of Barack Obama because what he is doing in the White House. Glenn Beck says that he is reclaiming the civil rights acts, but no one has taken his rights away from anybody.I'm not sure if MLK was a Republican, but if he was, he wouldn't support all this racism that the Republicans spreading around today. MLK wouldn't support the Tea Party Movement because MLK wanted all people to be well taken care of regarding education and health. If MLK was alive today, he would not support Glenn Beck from FOX NEWS CHANNEL, who encourages racism, stereotypes, and other negativity across the country. MLK would not support the Tea Party Movement(especially when they have signs that have President Obama with a Adolf Hitler mustache and wearing a Nazi uniform), FOX NEWS CHANNEL, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity because they all represent hatred and bigotry. Now keep in mind that people like the Tea Party Movement, Glenn Beck, FOX NEWS CHANNEL, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity hated MLK in the early years.
I wouldn't have went to Glenn Beck's celebration of MLK I have a dream speech and to make matter worse, Sarah Palin was there! This is the same woman that stood by Dr. Laura Schlessinger's side when Dr. Laura Schlessinger was excercising her free speech (the n-word incident)! I would want to go to Rev. Al Sharpton's celebration of MLK I have a dream speech, which also took place on August 28, 2010, but I can't remember the location. Rev. Al Sharpton stood by MLK when he was alive. Rev. Sharpton has a better understanding of MLK's message of the "I have a Dream" speech.
MLk would not support the new sb 1070 Arizona Immigration Law and he certainly would not support hb 2281, the ban of ethnic studies in Arizona. MLK also would not support the new education curriculum at the Texas Public School System, the system that is now trying to change and rewrite history (eventhough everyone knows that people can't do that) and trying to change and rewrite the textbooks, removing the some people of ethnic background that helped built America, keeping our children from learning the truth of the past.People of unity, we must hold on to the truth about Martin Luther King's Dream. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr had a dream about the future of equality and living in racial harmony. Glenn Beck was mocking MLK speech.

"The Economy"

Today everyone is expecting miracles in the mist of our broken economy.
In my eyes, President Obama is doing everything he promised. He is doing a good job and trying to erase the damage that the Bush Administration has done. Even I know from experience everything just can't happen overnight. People, President Obama just can't snap his fingers and perform miracles, everything takes work, effort, negotiating, and time. I know President Obama is a smart, intelligent and yet patient young man and works well under pressure. It is important for us as well to be patient and listen to Presidient Obama. We all need to give President Obama credit for his hard work and effort, because he is on a mission to turn America around. It is important for us not to forget that the Bush Administration did a lot of
damage in the span of eight years. The Bush Administration spent billions of dollars in a senseless war and to this day I don't know what the purpose is behind it. If it took a long time for the American economy to deteriorate, it will take a long time for American economy to rise and recover. Apparently, some (not all) people have forgotten that it was the Bush Administration that raped America by raising gas prices and raising prices on groceries and other items in order to support the war in Iraq.
People in America were going broke and struggling, especially around Hurricane Katrina. The Bush Administration's wrath turned America into a third-world country. Also, the Bush Administration has changed everyone's opinion about America forver. I'll never ever in my life forget how high those gas prices were when Bush was in office. I was driving a mini van
to work and the climate is very hot. I had to fill up the tank every four days and the cost was $70.00 for a full tank . Bush was getting a lot of my money. I kept on saying to myself, "God, when is this ordeal
going to end?" I felt like I was going crazy at the time. During that time I spent most of my money I earned from Substitute Teaching on gas! It seemed like no matter how hard I worked 70 percent of my money went to gas! I couldn't enjoy my life and I was at the end of my rope while the Bush Administration was at the White House. I was really frustrated.
When the Obama Administration entered the White House in January 2009, I knew my slavery days were gone. I knew things will be better for everyone. So I'm not complaining about the Obama Administration. I still support Obama and everything he is doing. I think Obama is doing a wonderful job in the White House.

This is my continuation of making Ethnic Studies in Arizona Publics Schools a priority.Gov.Jan Brewer signed and approved the hb 2281, which prohibits ethnic studies in public schools.HB 2281 was created by Tom Horne, who is Jewish and the current Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction.Tom Horne, a Republican, should be ashamed of himself. When I read Tom Horne's biography on wikipedia.com.I was in shock because I would have never thought in a million years that someone who should know and
understand what immigrants are going through with the majority in Arizona could be so heartless and cruel.Tom Horne and his family went through the ordeal with majority people back in Poland several years ago.I read that some of his family members died in the Holocaust while his parents manage to escape to Canada.I was shocked at the fact that someone who caught hell with German people could come to this country live herefor a long period of time and automatically turn into one of the majority. Tom Horne is one of those people who've forgotten where they came from. There is a name for people like this and it is called "hypocrite".Anyway, the purpose behind hb 2281 is to keep minorities from hating a "different race". In translation, the reason why hb 2281 because Tom Horne wants to keep minorities from resenting majority people.It is important for you to learn about different cultures through education.As I said before, it is very important for you to learn about your heritage and different ethnic backgrounds so you can have high self esteem and learn what you are capable of doing in order to change the world. Also, the state of Texas is doing the same thing by putting out a more "conservative" education cirriculum. Brothers and Sisters, education is freedom. Knowledge is power.
Education teaches you to "not just settle for just anything, not even a low-paying job". Education teaches you to "strive for the best in life". Education teaches you that there are no boundaries and you can do anything you put your mind to. The world is your oyster and the sky is the limit. Education makes you free from bondage and oppression that *The Arizona Crew are trying to put you in. You don't have to work in a fast food place when you get older. You can be doctor,a lawyer, a teacher, a scientist, or you can even be President (as we learned from President Barack Obama).
We must come together as one to bring an end to these neo Jim Crow Laws. This is America: Land of the Free.Tom Horne doesn't have the right to tell you who to hate or what to think. Who does she think she is?
This is a form of mind control.Tom Horne is trying to keep you from developing your mind. When someone gets an education, he or she
is mentally free and independent. When someone gets an education, he or she finds themselves and develop a higher state of mind. Education is a way out of your oppression and poverty. The Arizona Crew are some
of the majority who are trying to keep minorities down and dumbfounded.
Ethnic studies involves several subjects including geography, social studies, socialogy, history, physchology,government, and science. Ethnic studies is not just one subject.Also, keep in mind that the purpose of learning the subject of history (including our ethnic history) is so we could learn from our past and not repeat the same mistakes again, to learn the difference between right and wrong, to learn the difference between what defines justice and what is unfair to society.What in the hell does changing the education system in Arizona concerning ethnic studies have to do with protecting the citizens of Arizona? What does this have to do with keeping, as Gov. Jan Brewer says, "drug cartels" and "crimes" (which are stereotypes) from Arizona? what does hb 2281 have to do with the sb 1070 at all? *The Arizona Crew are kind of majority people in Arizona who just don't want to face that anger and resentment from the Asians, Hispanics, and other races.Majority in Arizona are pulling the same mess that majority people pulled with black people seventy years ago! Back then the majority didn't want black people to get an education. Majority people wanted black people to be farmers, laborers, and housekeepers. Today the state of Arizona want to put on ethnic studies ban in Arizona public schools because they don't want hispanics and asians to learn about themselves. The majority of Arizona want them to say, "No sauh", "Yes sauh", and want minorities to keep their heads low when they approach a white person just like black people did when they came around a white person seventy years ago.And the minorities that want to do do something with their lives were considered "uppity". The negativity from a person of the majority spreads from minority to minority. This angers me because the state of Arizona is trying to turn the Hispanics, Asians, and African Americans into "uncle toms". Tom Horne, Gov. Jan Brewer, and other majority people in Arizona like the idea that the Hispanics and Asians "don't know any better" or "don't speak english well" just like the majority people several years ago like the idea that minority people are "ignorant, lazy, and don't know any better, deaf and dumb, and idiotic". Seventy years ago majority people forbid black people to read, write or have any source of education because the majority people wanted their stereotypes about black people to be true. The *Arizona Crew are just like majority people are afraid of minorities with education. Also, my worse nightmare is beginning, these immigration laws are influencing others state across America. Remember Education is freedom and escape from poverty.It is also the pursuit of happiness. Brothers and Sisters of different racial backgrounds, LET NO ONE TAKE AWAY YOUR FREEDOM AND PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS! YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE! PEACE AND BLESSING TO YOU!

The N word is never ok to use!

Sarah Palin is defending Dr. Laura Schlessinger on her so called "free speech" moment using the N-word. Defending Dr. Laura Schlessinger exercising her "free speech" shows Sarah Palin's is "true colors" and she is not taking the initiative to think that this may get her into trouble and may make her look bad to the majority as well as the minorities who represent the Republican Party. I'm extremely sorry, but I don't believe Dr. Laura Schlessinger's apology. When you apologize to someone, you do "soul searching" about yourself to find out what "you" did wrong and you try your absolute best not to say words or phrase that hurt other people ever again and find ways to improve and redevelop that close
friendly bond so that bond can spread from person to person and your reputation will be good again. So far from what I've seen and heard from her on news channels such as CNN, she hasn't made me a believer. Dr. Schlessinger knew what she was saying because she repeated the N-word 11 times. According to Dr. Laura Schlessinger she said she left her show so she can exercise her 1st amendments. Since her "retirement" (eventhough I don't buy the retirement thing) from the show, I think I heard her say she is doing stuff on the internet now, excercising her "free speech". Dr. Laura Schlessinger is too blind to her ideology to see that she is "getting herself into trouble". In my opinion, Dr. Laura Schlessinger left her show so she can go around saying the N-word when she want to and in a joking manner. The N word is NEVER ok to use even if African Americans themselves use it. The N word has a negative meaning to make African American feel low and allow another person to feel powerful. The N word is extremely offensive. It is apart of racism, a word based on judgement and stereotypes based on color that causes us as Americans to be divided even we as Americans are supposed to be "United".
Excercising free speech does not give anyone the right to say racial slurs towards other people. There are other ways people can exercise free speech and free thinking. Sometimes other peoples' idea of "free speech" can get those same people in trouble. This is no longer the old "Jim Crow" days when the majority mistreated minorities simply because the majority thought they were "better" then the minorities, this is a new era and a new day. There are laws out there. The world is changing, and the minorities will not tolerate racial disrespect from anyone whatsoever. Also, when the public looks at you and listens to you, you are considered a role model no matter what. Even children look at you. You are suppose to set an certain example far as helping people around the country or even the world. Dr. Laura Schlessinger and Sarah Palin are setting a bad example for children because they are promoting racism. If African Americans promote racism in different ways they are setting a bad example for the children as well. People need to understand that spreading and promoting racism and stereotypes everywhere you go (even in your job) justifying them both as "free speech" will get you so deep in a hole, they will not be able to get themselves out. Dr. Schlessinger was on Larry King Live on CNN, and it was said that Dr. Laura Schlessinger lost some of her sponsors after her "free speech". When people have sponsors, that mean having promotion and having support of something. But after that incedent, she doesn't have as many sponsors as she used to because those
companies don't support that kind of philosophy. I don't care if Dr. Schlessinger was trying to prove a point to the caller, talking like that on the radio is extremely unacceptable.

Sick and Tired

I'm really angry at the fact that people (mainly Republicans) are so wrapped up at the fact whether President Obama is an American or not.
This is a waste of time. We have real issues in this country that need to be dealt with. People need jobs
and the economy is messed up (thanks to Bush), and there is an oil spill going on in the Gulf Coast. We also have more important things to
do with our time. Republicans are still talking about this issue simply because they are looking for an excuse to get
rid of President Obama. These republicans know good and well the President Obama is an American because he was born
in Hawaii in 1961. Hawaii became a state in 1959! Get a life Republicans! The entire time since 2008 (yes eversince 2008) the
Republicans have been talking about stupid issues while the Democrats have been trying to figure out how in the hell
can we get out of this war with Iraq that Bush got us in and how in the hell can we get the economy back in order. The entire
time while the Democrats are trying to get the country back together, the Republicans are too busy exiling Hispanic Americans and get rid of the 14th amendment.
The entire time that the Democrats trying to clean up all the mess thet the Bush Administration did, those Republicans are
going around the country saying "We need to get rid of Obama", and "Lets take our country back", and "Get on the bus" (Micheal Steele said that)
and "Nancy Pelosi need to get at the back of the bus" (Micheal Steele said that too).
Republicans are also angry at the fact that Michelle Obama and her daughter went to Spain. I mean Republicans talked a lot of mess. What is the
big deal about Michelle Obama and her daughter taking a trip to Spain? Nothing! People take vacations all the time! So what is the big deal?
Why aren't the Republican talking about that Republican Micheal Steele spending money at those strip clubs? See, the Republicans don't want
to talk about that! While Democrates main objection is help the people of America, the Republicans main objective is to bash Obama!
This bashing and ruining the Democrats is stupid and immature! We as one need to come together and solve our issues together.
Eversince 2009, the Republicans have absolutely nothing to help this country nor its people! I'm sick and tired of mess people! Grow up, Republicans!

My view on the 14th amendment

Republicans are now trying to change the 14th amendment. Republicans don't realize they are wasting their time.
There will always be proof that the child of ethnic backgrounds is an American citizen, and that is the birth certificate
(document that shows when and where you were born). For example, I was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi, United States in 1979.
My birth certificate tells me where I was born and what hospital I'm from. This also makes me a legal United States citizen.
That means I have same equal rights as everyone else, I can be whether I want to be, I have the right to go where ever
I please. I have the right to go to school, I have the right to vote, I have the right to work, and I have the to own
a house. It doesn't matter whether the parents of the child are legal or not, it doesn't matter where the parents come from,if the child was born on American soil, in an American state, in American city, in an American hospital house or apartment on an Amerian street, that child is an American citizen! No question asked! It doesn't matter whether the Republicans get rid of the 14th amendment or not, it doesn't change the fact that the child is an American citizen. Like I said before, there will always be proof that a child that was born in America is an American citizen, and that is the birth certificate.When a child is born in America with an American birth certificate, that child is automatically legal and legitimate.

The Building of the Mosque at Ground Zero in New York

I'm distraught over the fact that some people in America are against building of the Mosque in Ground Zero in New York.
People, America is a free and independent country! No one has the right whatsoever to tell Muslim Americans where to construct a building. Also, people have the right to have whatever kind of religion they want. Now no one has to like it, but everyone has to respect what kind of religion that they have. Telling people where to build a certain place would be very unconstitutional. Also, stop the stereotypes, the hate and the bigotry! How are we going to a united country
if there is so much division in this country? Muslim Americans deserve the same rights as that we as Caucasion-Americans,
Afican-Americans and other Americans have. The statement that some people repeated that Muslims have caused what happened in 9/11 is not true. The truth is Muslims are against violence and terrorism. What happened in 9/11 was conducted under
the work of Al-Queda, Muslims had nothing to do with 9/11. Besides, America have their own terriorist, and they are
called the Klu Klux Klan (KKK), a white organization that hates anybody who is different based on the color of their skin.
People of unity please lets not forget the crimes that the KKK committed during the years simply because they didn't like their skin color.
What bothers me so much is that Conservatives and Republicans
who call themselves "Christians" don't sometimes exercise true "Christian" values as they claim they do, they exercise
their own opinionated view and values and then they call them christian values. The Republicans and Conservatives don't have any room to critize other people who follow other religions. Also, the Bible says God says christians should honor
and obey their King, and so far what I've witnessed, these Conservatives and Republicans haven't done that.

Texas creating a more "conservative" education for public schools

Hello people of unity. Texas wants to change their education cirriculum around for their personal benefit. To me, the purpose
of certain subjects such as history is to learn about ourselves and our heritage. The state of Texas don't realize
residential students are headed for trouble when they start taking various important test. It is important for different
ethnic backgrounds to learn aobut their culture. Once again this is another step back into the dark ages and toward racism in
America. What is the purpose of this "conservative education curriculum"? Children's education is in trouble because people
in Texas education system wants to pretend minorities don't exists. They don't want to except the fact that the world
is changing. They want poison children's mind with lies and racism. The children of the state of Texas are becoming prisoners
in their minds. Minority teachers should protest this cirriculum, better yet go on strike! This is racism. Minority students
shouldn't accept this because it is not fair to them. It is important that children of all races learn different cultures.
I would want students to learn who I am because I'm making a difference in this country. I want to the future better for
the children in America.

My biggest fear is this might influence the entire country and that is not a good thing at all!
